Hi! I’m Kristin, the person talking to you through computer screens, and this is my site where I write about style and sustainability. Here’s a little bit about me:
I grew up in Boulder, CO and moved to NYC about a year ago after graduating with a degree in Apparel & Merchandising. I currently work as a trend forecaster and digital product designer.
Sustainability has always been a big part of my life. Growing up in one of the healthiest cities in the country, it kind of had to be. During school, I learned about how unsustainable and unethical the fashion industry is and I’ve been interested in finding ways to change that ever since.
Although I’m really passionate about sustainable fashion, I’ve had a hard time finding sustainability resources I identify with. A lot of people treat sustainability like it’s all or nothing, but there are a lot of ways you can consume in an environmentally and socially conscious way that don’t force you into an extreme lifestyle. There’s also a misperception that sustainable style isn’t fashionable or trendy. As a trend forecaster, I feel uniquely qualified to tell you that that’s not true. There are plenty of sustainable options out there, you just need to know how to find them. That’s where this site comes in.
This site provides a resource for information about sustainability, styling, and conscious living. Everything from street style trends and styling tips to emerging ethical brands and new sustainable textile innovations.
I hope you enjoy!
