Archive Shoes is a new shoe line by Danielle Bernstein, founder of We Wore What. Danielle’s sleek, urban style is represented in each boot in the collection. She wears her own designs, so you can always check out her blog for ways to style them. If your looking to spend a little more, these shoes are a great option. My personal favorite is The Barrow Boot.
Personalized jewelry is always a good idea. The M Jewelers recently collaborated with Danielle Guizio to create some great personalized chokers and other pieces of jewelry. If your looking for a gift that’s on trend and shows some thought, the Gothic Choker Necklace is a great choice!
Cluse watches have been getting a lot of attention recently. Known for their simplistic and minimalistic style, this Amsterdam company provides a variety of options for everyone on your list. Their site offers free worldwide shipping and the watches are really affordable! One of my favorites is the La Boheme Mesh Silver/White.
The Great Frog is a London-based company known for their rock and roll jewelry. They have collaborated with some of the biggest rock bands in the world like Iron Maiden and Motorhead and have a client list that includes celebrities like Mick Jagger. Every product is hand designed and handmade. Their jewelry products range in “edginess” from roses (Rose Ring) and horseshoes to skulls and coffins. For those on your list looking to make a statement, give The Great Frog a try.
I usually think fragrances are personal. It’s hard to pick out a scent for someone else unless you know them really well. However, I just went to Sephora and fell in love with this fragrance. The scent is called Sugar Lychee, so you would think it’s pretty sweet, but I don’t like sweet scents, and I loved it. I walked around smelling myself (and definitely looked like a crazy person) for hours after I left the store. The website describes the scent as a combination of delicate citrus, juicy lychee, and mango with undertones of tonka bean and amber. If this sounds like a scent someone on your list would like, this fragrance would make a great gift!
If you’ve been watching or reading the news lately, I’m sure you’ve heard about the tragic events occurring in Aleppo right now. If not, here are some sites that will explain it much better than I ever could: Washington Post, New York Times, Betches (to put it in simpler terms). The holidays are a time to feel grateful for what you have and give to those less fortunate. If you have the extra money, making a donation to a nonprofit organization like Doctors Without Borders is an excellent gift option. Here are a few other organizations that could use your help saving lives in Aleppo and around the world:
Relief International – work to deliver clean water, healthcare, education, and support to displaced people.
White Helmets – volunteer rescue organization that operates within Syria to help in the aftermath of attacks.
Mercy USA – help fund a health clinic outside of Aleppo.
