It’s officially a month into the new year and wow has time flown by! It feels like New Year’s was just a week ago! This post is a little late, but since it’s only been a month I think I can still get away with talking about trends for the upcoming year. I wanted to post about the Pantone color of the year. Pantone has announced a color of the year every year since 2000 and Pantone’s Color of 2014 is Radiant Orchid. Pantone establishes the colors that will be trending for the coming year in fashion, beauty, and interior design. So, in other words, you will be seeing this color almost everywhere in 2014 (hopefully you like it!). Radiant Orchid has already been seen on the runway in the Spring 2014 collections of designers such as Max Mara and Missoni. Sephora and Pantone have also paired up and launched a 2014 collection that features radiant orchid beauty pieces. Although this color is a little out of my comfort zone, I put together an outfit with some fun (and subtle) ways to incorporate Radiant Orchid into your wardrobe this year.
Why did Pantone choose Radiant Orchid as the color of 2014?
