This look really helped me embrace my inner school girl 😂 It also kind of made me feel like I was in an episode of Gossip Girl… which is always a good thing!

I’ve never really been a skirt person, but I’ve always liked the look of a plaid/checkered skirt. I feel like it can add a touch of sophistication and bring a cool vintage vibe to any outfit. Although I usually stray away from skirts, I finally decided to try one out and bought this charcoal grey and white checkered one from J.Crew. I’m glad I did! By no means did it convert me into a skirt person, but it did make me appreciate the way a skirt can switch up your office style.

You can create a great office-ready look by pairing a skirt with a button down and some heeled booties or you can dress it down with a fitted turtleneck and pair of sneakers. Skirts are super versatile. It’s all about the styling and how you add your own personal touch!
